Frequently Asked Questions
Will this method harm my original paint?
Absolutely not. Today’s more flexible polyurethane paints, coupled with the thinner gauged metal of today’s vehicles, allows the PDR technician to manipulate the metal back into shape without any disturbance to the vehicle’s paint.
Will my dents come back?
NO! Unlike conventional repairs, which cover over or merely hide the panel damage, the PDR process actually returns the panel back to its original shape.
What are the advantages of utilizing the PDR process?
- Cost effective – Generally, PDR repairs are performed at a fraction of the cost of a traditional body shop repair.
- Quick Turn Around – Most door dings can be repaired in less than an hour or while you wait. Hail damaged vehicles can, on average, be repaired in 1 to 2 days as opposed to the conventional repair time of 7 to 10 days or more.
- Environmentally Safe – Since no paints or fillers are used in the PDR process there are no environmentally harmful emissions released.
- No Diminished Value – With PDR the vehicle’s original finish is not disturbed. There are no panels replaced, no fillers used, no mismatched paint and no visible signs that a repair has been made.
Is Paintless Dent Removal a new process?
Not at all, PDR has been utilized at auto plants around the world for over 40 years. Since the late 1980’s auto dealerships, auto auctions and the general public; have enjoyed the benefit of using PDR to maintain their vehicle’s original appearance.
